Save and continue

Use the pause menu to save or load. F5 quicksaves and F9 quickloads. The game also autosaves each morning. Continue on the main menu resumes a saved colony.

Browser saves live in that browser’s storage for zahubtech.com. A new game release preserves them, but clearing site data, using another browser profile or changing devices does not transfer them.

Move a colony between devices

1. Open the save/load list and select the colony you want to move.
2. Choose Export to download a .sav file.
3. Open Wildhold on the destination device.
4. Choose Load > Import…, select the file, then load the imported colony.

This also transfers saves between the desktop game and the browser version. Keep exported copies of colonies you want to preserve.

Choose a language

The game starts in a supported language from your browser or computer, with English as fallback. In Settings > Language, choose Automatic, English or Español. Your choice is remembered on this device, and changing it during play keeps your colony. The guide has its own language selector and shows screenshots in the selected language. The web game and guide share your explicit preference.

Make the interface comfortable

In Settings, adjust interface scale, sound volume, camera speed, optional edge scrolling and pause-on-threats. Auto interface scale follows screen scaling; you can choose a fixed scale instead.

Fullscreen is remembered. Browsers require a user gesture to enter fullscreen, so use the button or F11. The browser version has no Quit button: leave by closing or switching the tab after saving.

Consult the guide during play

Pause before opening the guide. The in-game Player guide link opens it in the browser; keep your game tab available so you can return to the same session.
